The Alaska Sports Hall of Fame recently announced that Joe Redington Sr. and Rick Swenson were inducted as members of the Class of 2008.

The Iditarod Trail Committee announced that the total number of entrants for the 2008 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race (as of today) is 110. Earlier this afternoon, Talkeetna musher Melanie Gould withdrew from the field citing personal reasons.

The Iditarod Trail Committee announced that an anticipated record number of mushers have signed up to run the 2008 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. At this time 108 mushers have completed their entrance forms for IDITAROD XXXVI. Two other entry forms are arriving via mail. That would bring this year’s entry total to 110 mushers.

Glenwood Springs Colorado musher Bill Pinkham has officially withdrawn from IDITAROD XXXVI.
