Lance Mackey is on the last leg of a journey that has been challenging and rewarding. The Two Time Iditarod Champion arrived in White Mountain at 6:05 (Alaska Time) this evening. He is now in the process of resting his team and preparing each member for the last 70 miles of this journey to Nome. For Lance it’s familiar territory. He’s in White Mountain first. It’s been that way for the last two years. Now he’s on his third journey in front of the field. His destiny is Nome. He’ll begin that journey at 2:05 am March 18th.
