Time To Roll!

Iditarod's canine athletes moving up to Nome Alaska

And They’re Off!!!

The 2009 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race is off and running!  Thousands of race fans enjoyed a stellar Alaska day as the 67 participants in the 2009 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race bid farewell to the trail gaters, and road systems, and began their journey into the vast solitude of the Iditarod Trail.  Teams began their trek to Yentna and beyond with an extra hour of sunshine available (thanks to daylight savings time) to take in. Now “The Last Great Race” is on the go headed for Nome.

The Race to Watch the Race is On!

The Insider is hard at work bringing you “The Last Great Race” with Insider Video on Demand and Insider GPS Tracker. The Insider has already posted more than twenty new video clips today alone! The Insider GPS Tracker is already tracking each team going up the trail. An added dimension this year is the Iditarod Trail Breaker icon. The insider is tracking the Trail Breakers location and speed as they make sure the trail is marked and set for the mushers who follow. It’s great to watch!
