K-9 Connection: Brandy: Service Dog ‘Works’ in the Phone Room

Brandy is a Service Dog

Brandy is a Service Dog

Tami is a race volunteer.  She volunteers in several different areas each year.  Her service dog, Brandy, enjoys accompanying her during her volunteer jobs and especially enjoys spending time in the  ‘phone room’ at Race Headquarters at the Millennium.

In the phone room, race volunteers visit with race fans who call on the phone and need to find out information.  The race volunteers use computers to assist the callers.  Sometimes, the volunteers help the callers learn how to find information on the website.

Because of technology, more and more people are on the Internet and the website proves important information that race fans can read and understand.  Although there are less calls to the phone room than there used to be, there will always be a need to help race fans by phone.
