Hello Boys and Girls,
On September 21, summer officially ended according to human calendars. I think it might have ended a little earlier than that here in Alaska. I began to notice the leaves on the trees turning color by the last week of August. I love the leaves in the fall. They turn several different colors before they finally fall off the trees and cover the ground.
The following pictures show the colors (click on the images for a larger picture):
The leaves provide me with endless fall enjoyment as my human rakes them into piles and I romp through the piles as fast as I can to see how fast they will swirl around and wind up back across the yard. I think they look pretty spread out all over the yard, don’t you? My human doesn’t think this is funny. He has no sense of humor!
These pictures show my decorating of the yard (click on the images for a larger picture):
Tomorrow I will show and tell you about the “Termination Dust” here in Alaska.
Don’t forget to do your homework and pay attention to your teacher in class. He or she has a lot of good information to share with you. If you really listen, you will learn a lot of interesting things over the school year.
Lots of Tail Wags,
Zuma
