What is the shortest amount of time it has taken for a musher to get through all the checkpoints? What is the longest amount of time?

hey i love the comments you guys posted about the dogs i would love to hear a lot more efrom you guys about how these dogs get into shape

The dogs love getting rubbed down or getting a massage. Sanka made a little spelling error so she’ll change that spelling. Sled dogs are used to being around lots of other dogs in their own dog yard and also in the checkpoints along the trail. Other dogs at the dog lot in Nome do not bother them. As far as the dog houses, some do belong to Iditarod but every musher has to take care of their own dogs and getting them back home so they’ll provide their own dog boxes.

Hi Sanka,

This is Anson. In your article you wrote “Next, the dogs go down to the dog lot for a meal, a message and relaxation.”, I was wondering what the message was about? Also, who supplies the dog houses for the dog lots? The owners or someone else? The spots sure do look cozy. Do the dogs mind all of the other teams dogs so close by? Our dog does not really like other dogs and that is why I am asking. Thanks for the intersting article. Your friend, Anson
