Hello,
You’ve come to the right website to get answers about Iditarod. A musher can start the race with 16 dogs. Mushers and their handlers train the dogs for the race. Dogs are trained where a musher lives for the most part. Most training is done in Alaska or Canada or other states where the weather and conditions are right for training. Each musher develops a feeding schedule and the kinds of foods that are best for the dogs diet. The dogs are athletes and what the eat is important because a musher needs healthy dogs. i am doing a progect on iditorod race dogs and i had a few questins.
1.how many dogs start the iditorod race
2.do special people have to train the dogs?
3.what type of food do the dogs eat?
4. where are huskies trained
