Wow! Those volunteers must be really comitted to a job like that.It must take a lot of time and effort.
I guess the Iditarod must really depend on them for the race to happen.

Hi, Sanka! I love your articles, especially your lovely, clear writing voice. I am so glad you are part of the Iditarod journalism team. I am an adult human mom of 3 adopted rescue dogs, each with their own personality. They are Chewy, an Alaskan Malamute mix, Lucky, a Rottweiler mix (or maybe a Black and Tan Coon Hound mix), and Gordy, a Flat Coat Retriever mix. They were all 2 to 3 years old when we adopted them, and we do not know everything about their pasts. Someday I hope to piece it together as best I can and write each dog’s story in his or her own voice. Your writing encourages me to accomplish this. Thanks to you and Zuma and all of the K9 reporters!

Hi, Libby. It’s Abby. Thank you for telling us about great race this year. My dog, Mackey, is reel proud of Mr. Mackey for 4 year winning times in a row! I am too, and I love all of the dogs and the people, and you are my friends. Have a good year. My mom said maybe we can come next time and that’s a long time to wate. Will you be there Libby?

What are you going to do after the race? You said this might be your last race and you were thinking about getting a job. Is that true?
